Peter Nell with hairdresser Philipa Sheeny and Brad Graham with hairdresser Christie McGowen before the auction to have their beards and hair removed.

The auctioneer patiently pushed up the bidding price, and the top bidder obtained the right to remove some hair or the beard. Each successful bidder in turn took the opportunity to do their bit for society.
