Story of Tea
The first book on tea was written by Lu Yu in 780AD. Green, Black and Oolong Tea were first known in the time of the Ming Dynasty around the 14th Century. When the British arrived in India, tea became a daily part of their lives. The first Darjeeling tea planted was around 1841, with commercial production beginning in 1852. Indian and Kenyan Tea are today dominant forces in the global tea market. Tea continues to be the favoured beverage of many nations.
