Famous cooks from New Zealand and overseas will demonstrate
new ideas and food items that will make you hungry!
Other crowd-pullers include the popular cooking and
BBQ competition, butter/margarine sculpturing and ice
carving competitions, wine making seminars, Barista
and coffee making competitions, waiters race, napkin
folding and table setting, just to name a few.
The cooking and the culinary competitions will be a
very important part of the Festival, supported by the
Chefs Association, Restaurant Association and Tertiary
Education in New Zealand. The high point of the International
Food & Wine Festival 2005 is the cooking competitions
"Grand Prix Gastronome New Zealand", in which
the twelve best junior cooking teams and chefs will
compete.
