Food Arts Exhibition and Competition


An opportunity for all artists to display their food related arts.

 

 

Class 1 : Oil or Acrylic
This incredible food award gives you the opportunity to create something very special. Topics are food art combined with the hospitalily theme and modern life style.

Class 2 : Water colours
This incredible food award gives you the opportunity to create something very special. Topics are food art combined with the hospitalily theme and modern life style.

Class 3 : Incredible Food Art Award
This incredible food award gives you the opportunity to create something very special made from non-perishible food items.The judges will look for creativity, imagination and flair. The topic must be in relation to food or food products.

Entry Conditions :
1 Eligible Works : Each painting must be original, and the sole work of the exhibitor.
2 Subject Matters : Competitors should submit their interpretation of food art subjects and hospitality scene. These may include not only the food features of our industry but should also involve everyday live scenery from the catering industry.
3 Size : The painted surface must not be more than 900 mm x 800 mm. Portraits not more than 800 mm x 600 mm.
4 General : Each entry must have: The name only of the competitor, the title of the work and the price clearly printed on postcard size laminated paper attached to the painting.
5 Entry Forms & Fees : Each competitor shall sign an entry form and pay the entrance fee of $15.00 for each painting.
Application form and entrance fee must be received not later than Monday 18 April. 2004
6 Judging : the IFWF (NZ) Limited Art Exhibition Committee shall appoint the judge or judges. No judge shall be a competitor. The judge's decision shall be final and binding in all respects. No correspondence will be entered into.
7 Sending in and collecting of painting : Painting to be received not later than Monday 9 May 2004 at 04.00 PM. At Claudlands Showground's, Brooklyn Rd.. Gate 1, Hamilton.

Other Conditions :
All paintings are required to be left on display for the whole duration of the show and may also be included in the International Food & Wine Festival auction.

All art must be claimed after the show but not before 3.00pm Monday 16 May 2005, unless other arrangements have been made with the Arts Committee.

The competitor must pay all expenses of forwarding paintings to the International Food & Wine Festival and having them returning from the Show.

All reasonable care will be taken of paintings submitted, but the Arts Committee will not be responsible for the loss of or damage whatsoever to any entry while in its custody.

Competitors should, if they wish, arrange insurance of their entries as, NO INSURANCE is carried by the IFWF (NZ) Ltd.

All art effects will be for sale, and a commission of 20%will be deducted if sold.
All benefits from the Food and Art Exhibition will be donated to the IHC Hamilton.
